About the founders

Lisa Gårdlund , registered nurse/midwife with many years of experience in distributing menstrual cups to women in Nepal and Bangladesh. Through workshops, she gathers women and girls in cities as well as in remote villages to inform about the female body, menstruation and menstrual protection.
The meetings are both planned and spontaneous. Where there are women, there is menstruation and there is often a great need for both education and actual menstrual protection. The fundraising foundation Magnhild is a new organization in terms of organization, but the working method of working for equality on a non-profit basis by distributing menstrual protection and providing knowledge about the female body is already well established and ingrained.

 

Being a midwife, Lisa is trustworthy and respectful, which often results in empowering meetings with a high recognition factor between women, regardless of ethnicity and cultural conditions. Lisa sees opportunities, is enterprising and passionate about making a difference for women. She is chairman of the board of the Fundraising Foundation MAGNHILD.
